Experienced Greater Boston Attorney
Whether you are charged with a crime or being served with a restraining order, the legal process can be frightening if you do not understand it. You need the help of an experienced lawyer explaining the process to you who believes in the presumption of innocence and will advocate your best interests on your behalf. I firmly believe every person is innocent until proven guilty.
I am attorney Jeffrey G. Sweeney, and my firm — the Law Offices of Jeffrey G. Sweeney — offers clients throughout Essex County, Massachusetts, knowledgeable and results-driven criminal defense they need. I help clients who are facing charges for drunk driving (OUI), drug possession, traffic tickets, domestic violence or have been served with a restraining order, as well as those dealing with immigration issues related to such. A Passion for Criminal Defense
Some people go to work and complete their job with little or no engagement; not me. Criminal law has always interested me, and making it the center of my practice enables me to work passionately on every case. I have a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and focused my law school education on practicing criminal defense.
Although I cannot guarantee results, I always give clients the best representation I can. My practice is based in the following principals:
- Talking with clients: I take the time to talk with each of my clients and understand their concerns. I will explain each step of the criminal process in plain English.
- Finding the facts: I work with a retired police officer to do all of my own investigative work. This enables me to uncover facts and information relevant to your situation.
- Preparing your case: 90% of my cases are prepped for trial. I proactively take cases to jury to make sure your story is heard and I'm not afraid to push for results.
- Telling your story: I enjoy jury trials. During the trial, I am able to establish rapport with the jurors and advocate positively for my clients.
- Building experience: I am in the courtroom five days a week. In the past five years, I have handled 50+ jury trials as well as building working relationships with district attorneys.
I am committed to providing my clients with the representation they need. I am usually available around the clock. However, if I miss your call, I will return it within 24 hours. Schedule your free initial consultation by contacting me online or by calling 978-712-4829.
For your convenience, I accept credit cards.
